New leisure centre opening date announced
Evesham residents are expected to benefit from the opening of a new leisure centre in the town later this summer.
With an opening date officially set for September, Wychavon District Council expects Evesham Leisure to provide a number of facilities, alongside a revamped swimming pool.
The £10.95 million investment could see a number of people employed in leisure jobs, with a range of gym equipment allowing people to build on guidance they may have received in the past from fitness instructors.
Meanwhile, a four-court sports hall and climbing wall are also expected to draw crowds to the centre.
In addition to two air-conditioned exercise studios, a salon will enable visitors to the Worcestershire facility to take advantage of beauty therapies.
Wychavon District Council operates a number of leisure centre facilities in the region.
In recent years, it has replaced Pershore Leisure Centre facilities with an investment of £4.6 million and has also undertaken an extension of Droitwich Leisure Centre.
