New Indian hotel to offer fitness facilities
A new Swissotel in India is set to offer guests a variety of fitness and swimming facilities when it officially opens its doors later this year.
People visiting the deluxe facility, which is due to be unveiled in Kolkata's City Centre - New Town mall, will be able to take advantage of a rooftop swimming pool and a fitness centre.
Meinhard Huck, Swissotel Hotels and Resorts president, commented that India offers a great opportunity for his company to expand its operations.
He said: "India is set to become the world's third largest economy by 2020. Consumer demand is growing steadily, particularly in the cities, and the middle class, which is also growing rapidly, has ever increasing consumption needs."
Bengal Ambuja Housing Development has now been given a contract to help manage the hotel site.
Swissotel Hotels and Resorts runs a number of deluxe hotels in destinations like Amsterdam and London.
