Dubai spa firm continues expansion

A Dubai-based spa company, which offers health and beauty therapy treatments within a number of resorts, is to continue its expansion with a new facility in a World Heritage area.

Work on the Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort and Spa in Australia's Blue Mountains is nearing completion, with a soft opening scheduled for the autumn.

Considering conservation issues a high priority, the Emirates spa will feature state-of-the-art recycling techniques and heat exchange technology.

Joost Heymeijer, general manager at Wolgan Valley Resort, commented that the construction now just requires finishing touches to be made.

He said: "We have reached that very satisfying point in the development when the hard construction work is behind us and the focus shifts onto detail, quality finishing and preparation for operations."

Designed to fit in with strict World Heritage environmental controls, the site will eventually see trained beauty therapists offer a range of treatments, with an outdoor pool and gym also available to visitors.
