Disabled Londoners invited to health and fitness event
People with disabilities living in the Westminster region of London are being invited to attend a health and fitness day later this month to help them become more active.
In a development that may appeal to fitness instructors in the area, the open day is set to take place at Moberly Sports Centre on September 18th, with a number of activities on offer to visitors.
Those attending will be able to enjoy taster sessions in things like table tennis and power lifting, while healthy eating will also be encouraged.
Ed Argar, cabinet member for adult and community services at Westminster Council, commented: "This event will promote the excellent sporting facilities and the range of activities available to men and women with disabilities, while also highlighting the excellent achievements of Britain's athletes."
NHS Westminster will also be taking an active part in the event, to promote the benefits of healthy living.
Westminster Council recently unveiled its £4.5 million Little Venice leisure centre development, which boasts a number of environmentally friendly features.
