Dead Sea spa treatment training course gains accreditation

A spa treatment manufacturer has received Guild accreditation for its training courses.

Those pursuing spa jobs careers can now receive a recognised NVQ Level 2 qualification from the Ahava UK training course.

Ahava UK is a specialist in Dead Sea mineral skin nourishment products and treatments.

The training course is a day long and is offered to a full range of spa jobs applicants including salon receptionists and health club managers.

Ahava's Karen Wadman runs the course, which is offered at colleges throughout the country.

The accredited course focuses on the firm's Pure range, although it also offers a number of other products, including Source, Time Line, Dermud and Spa at Home.

The launch of the new course follows the unveiling of Ahava's new Mineral Botanic Skin Care Range in November 2008.

Ahava's Pat Strutt underlined the firm's treatment historic ethos.

She said: "The unique minerals found in the ancient Dead Sea are renowned for their moisturising and energising abilities.

"Likewise, over centuries, the ancients also used botanic extracts with great effect, for soothing, toning and hydrating skin."
