Career changes 'often positive moves'
People looking to change careers by seeking personal training jobs could learn new skills by following a different route, research has found.
Figures from the Careers Advice Service show that as many as 74 per cent of UK employees plan to change the direction of their career at some stage in their lives, suggesting people should not be put off doing so.
Jennifer Kneafsey, career coach at the service, commented that changing career can be a very positive thing for UK workers.
She said: "When you think of how long your working career is, considering changing career is not quite as shocking as it might have been some years ago."
Ms Kneafsey added that a career change can push people to learn new skills.
Those looking to switch their current job for careers in leisure industries may also be interested to hear that the top reason workers follow a new career is to learn something new, the Careers Advice Service survey suggests.
